Day 2: Data-driven systems theory, signal processing, and control
The course consists of three sessions:
- 09:00–10:00: Session 1: Dynamical systems as sets of trajectories
- Linear time-invariant systems
- Parametric representations
- Data-driven representation
- 10:00–11:00: break / exercises
- 11:00–12:00: Session 2: System identification
- The most powerful unfalsified model
- Identifiability conditions
- Approximate identification
- 12:00–14:00: lunch break / exercises
- 14:00–15:00: Session 3: Structured low-rank approximation
- Subspace methods
- Local optimization methods
- Convex relaxations
- 15:00–16:00: break / exercises
- 16:00–16:30: Closing
A session starts with an introduction and discussion (1 hour) followed by individual work on exercises (1 hour).
